Can you believe that it's only six months until we can start thinking about Corny Dogs and Big Tex?
It's never too early to start talking about the State Fair of Texas. Karissa Condoianis from State Fair of Texas joined the KRLD Afternoon News in the KRLD Zoom Room.
This year, there are hopes that they won't have to have a repeat of last year's "mobile State Fair".
In 2020, the State Fair had to hold a much more compressed event, with people staying in their cars in order to taste the fair food. They had to pay a little extra in order to get out of the car for a bit in order to have their photo taken with Big Tex. The Fair didn’t have the midway games or any other public events.
Even the Texas/OU game could only be played in front of a few thousand fans, instead of the packed Cotton Bowl. Tickets had to be limited to 25% capacity.
What does 2021 hold?
