AUSTIN (Talk1370.com) -- Flight cancellations continued to pile up at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport Friday morning, as winter weather impacts elsewhere in the country continued to wreak havoc on flight schedules.

Many of the flights set to depart or arrive at AUS Thursday were canceled as wintry precipitation continued to fall across the area.

As of 8 a.m., FlightAware was reporting 139 cancellations affecting flights into and out of AUS for Friday.

Airport officials continued to urge everyone to check flight status before making the trip out to the airport.
