Today we met Jeff Kaplan who is running Boston for Spaulding's Race for Rehab Team. In 2018, he was hit by a car while training for the New York City Marathon. One second he was chasing a goal. The next, he was in a two-week coma with a severe traumatic brain injury and emergency brain surgery. He spent 45 days at Spaulding - speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy. Every single day felt like a war. His body was broken…his mind was fog. But at Spaulding, he was given the structure, the discipline, and the mindset to rebuild from ground zero. They didn’t just teach him how to walk again…they taught him how to fight again.
Wait til you hear his story!
