This morning we spoke to RJ Scarelli who just published his first book called "For Those I Knew And Loved Before". It deals with Alzheimer's/Dementia and how children can use it to open up conversations with their families who might have a family member that is battling with their diagnosis. It depicts a unique perspective of a young child who grapples with her grandmother's diminishing condition and rapid memory loss. It gives the reader a vulnerable yet simple way to approach this difficult subject and allows young readers to effectively grapple with watching those, they love the most struggle against the debilitating effects of Alzheimer's and Dementia.
