A life that was taken far too soon. Terrence Clarke, a young NBA prospect, was tragically killed in a car accident last year.

He played for the University of Kentucky, and had just declared for the NBA draft when he passed away. The Roxbury and Celtics community was devastated.

Terrence's life was honored over the weekend at the Vine Street Community Center. According to WBZ, members of the Celtics joined Mayor Michelle Wu and other community leaders to pay tribute to Clarke by naming the newly renovated gym at the Vine Street Community Center after him.

This gym was Terrence's gym growing up - where he started to love basketball and build his legacy.

WBZ shared that a quote from Clarke is written on the floor: “I want to be that guy for everyone in the city.”

Gone, but never forgotten.
