LISTEN NOW: David Kushner on intertwining mental health with his faith
“I feel like having open and honest conversations about mental health, it’s really the only way, I feel like, civilization can grow,” he expressed in the Hard Rock Artist Lounge at Audacy's We Can Survive. “There are so many things that are hard to share — it takes a lot of courage — but it’s really going to help bring things to the surface.”
Kushner continued on to lead by example, by revealing some of his own best practices for mental health which include his faith and working out. “Mental health and the spiritual side of things kind of intertwine… at least for me,” he explained “Praying and my relationship with God is really really important to me. But other than that — fitness is a big part of my life. Working out, it’s a natural antidepressant.”
