The “X-Men” franchise star simply captioned the photo “Mum.”
Jackman has opened up in the past about his rocky relationship with his mother, who abandoned him and his four older siblings when he was only 8-years-old, Today reports.
In an interview with 60 Minutes Australia, Jackman revealed how it felt after his mother returned to England and left him and his siblings with their father.
"I thought she'd come back," said the actor. Both of Jackman’s parents immigrated to Australia from England in 1967.

He shared how his family formed a strong emotional bond through the ordeal.
"There's five of us — at the time, there was five kids, and so we kind of pulled on that together," he said.
"I'm not someone who's wallowed a lot in my family past. I don't feel like a victim. ... I feel very blessed actually in many ways," Jackman added.
In a 2013 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Jackman explained how the move to Sydney was hard on his mother, who also suffered from postpartum depression.
"To be in Australia at that point, with my father working hard, I think Mom just felt incredibly isolated.”
In 2013, the actor was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma, a form of skin cancer. During a 2015 interview with ABC News, Jackman revealed that he spent most of his childhood playing in the hot Australian sun.
Earlier this month, Jackman opened up to his fans about a skin biopsy after doctors noticed something "irregular” on his face and urged his fans to wear sunscreen, saying “don't be like me as a kid, just wear sunscreen."
