Dior has racked up three nominations at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards and spoke about his feelings leading up to the big night. “It’s a very surreal feeling,” he said.

“Mood,” his collaboration alongside 24kGoldn, has taken the world by storm and is up for the Top Hot 100 Song, Top Collaboration, and Top Rap Song awards at the BBMAs.
For how much success the song has experienced, dior gets the most satisfaction over the fact he made it with his friends. “It’s really cool to have a song like that and making it with your friends,” he said.
While he may not have predicted the massive success the song was going to have, he knew he had a hit on his hands after it was done. “After we made it, we were all like ‘yo, this is that song. This is song of the year. We gotta put it out,’” he said.
If dior takes home a BBMA this Sunday, he’s going to be sure to shine the spotlight on those who helped him get there. “It’s not just me winning it. It’s me and my team,” he said.
“There’s a lot of things that go behind everything so if I was to win one of these awards, I would give all thanks to them.”
The 2021 Billboard Music Awards happen live this Sunday, May 20 at 8PM ET / 5PM PT on NBC.
