Audacy LAUNCH artist Audrey Hobert has had a whirlwind 2026, and is finally home between her own year-long tour and heading overseas to open for Charli XCX. Bru caught up with the “Sue Me” singer to talk about her exhaustive trek, working with her brother, Malcolm Todd, and why she wants to pretend “this never happened” to make new music.

Audrey has gone from never having played a show to touring continuously for nearly a year. ”Last time I talked to you, I had never played a show ever, and now I've been touring for almost a year, so I'm a bit different,” Hobert tells Bru. “If I seem jaded, it's because I am.”
“I'm just f***ing tired, but I'm grateful, but I'm tired.”
Hobert finds herself in a state of “realizing things” she says, after her non-stop string of tour dates. “Being on the road, you exist in a state of super high highs and super low lows, and I've been home for almost two weeks and It's very important to me that I don't feel like I need that to feel alive.”
“I think real life is being able to be happy in a routine, at least that's how I feel, and so I'm just gonna be working towards that because it's such a crazy experience to be on the road.”
Part of the success for Hobert has been her transparency and authenticity, and she knows no other way. “I just am, I can't help it but be myself 100% of the time,” she admits. “Also one of the things I've learned in being on the road all year is, I think sometimes people in my position might think that they need to be quote unquote ‘on,’ in a lot of situations, and I just realized very quickly that that was gonna be more exhausting for me than to just be myself wherever I was.”
Next for Audrey Hobert is back to creating music, a process she needs to retreat to accomplish. “I feel pretty certain that removing myself from all this sort of front-facing parts of this will be very important,” Hobert reveals. “I'm sort of planning on pretending as much as I can that none of this ever happened, so that I can just kind of slip into the shadows where I feel most comfortable.”
