It’s been a very memorable four-day winning streak for “Jeopardy!” contestant, Christine Whelchel. In more ways than one.

Last week, she was caught up in an incredibly rare Final Jeopardy tie, before scooping up the win and $34,000. Then she won three more times.
Plus, she did this all after recently beating breast cancer.
It was that amazing fact that Whelchel brought to the fore when she returned to the iconic game show this week to try to add to her winning streak.
In a move meant to show the realities of recovering from cancer, Whelchel appeared without her wig.
At one point, host Ken Jennings noted that Whelchel had a different look going – a brown, cropped haircut, rather then the blonde wig she’d previously sported, Decider noted.
Whelchel explained that she started wearing wigs while receiving cancer treatment, and said she had decided on making a decisive statement.
“I decided I didn’t need to hide behind a wig anymore,” she told Jennings. “I want to normalize what going through cancer recovery looks like.”
“Well, you look fabulous,” Jennings replied.
Many Twitter fans agreed, and some personally identified.
“Rock on, girl. Wigs are hot and itchy. Cancer takes so much from us, don’t let it take your self esteem, too," wrote one fan. "Rock that short hair and funky glasses and big earrings! Rock on, Christine!”
“I went through nearly a year and a half of treatment for Hodgkin’s lymphoma beginning at the age of 30,” added another admirier. “After chemotherapy, radiation, and a stem cell transplant I’m happy to say I’m in remission. My hair looks like hers too. She looks beautiful and strong!”
To bring the point around to a happy conclusion, Whelchel announced she is currently in remission after recent surgery. “Everything went well, and I’m cancer-free as of right now,” she declared.
While Whelchel's streak ended on Tuesday, she wound up winning a total of $73,602. What a week, Whelchel!
