Passengers on a Southwest Airlines flight applauded after a woman was removed from the flight due to allegedly breaking federal mask rules.

According to the New York Post, a video shows the woman arguing with flight attendants about refusing to wear her face mask.

“It’s better to get off,” a man says in the background while the woman, who is wearing a mask in the video, denies refusing to cover her nose and mouth with a face mask.

“You’re saying I didn’t comply and put my mask on when you asked me to?” she asks another person, who is not seen in the video. “Are you seriously telling them that I didn’t put my mask on when you asked me to?”

“You! Are! A liar,” she screams, but quickly cannot be heard after passengers boo and shout “bye” to the woman.

“Get off the plane,” someone says. When the woman gets up to exit the aircraft, the crowd applauds. The passenger who was kicked off then throws every one the middle finger before leaving the flight.

All throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, passengers on flights have seen many travelers refusing to wear a face mask.

Despite public health officials telling all Americans to avoid air travel, people are heading to the airport at the highest rates in over a year.

The top 13 busiest travel days since the pandemic began were recorded over the last three weeks, and there have been more than one million travelers in the U.S. every day since Mar. 10.

The CDC officially updated its travel guidance and confirmed that it is safe for fully vaccinated people to travel domestically without needing to get tested or quarantine, but the increase in travel came before the update and coincides with reports of large crowds at popular spring break destinations.
