While viewers will still have to wait until November for the latest iteration of the serial killer franchise starring Michael C. Hall in the titular role, Showtime has now released a new trailer for "Dexter: New Blood."

The latest trailer offered up details of what to expect as it featured the return of Dexter’s son, Harrison, along with his deceased sister Debra (played by Jennifer Carpenter).
Harrison is now portrayed by Jack Alcott. At the end of the original series, Dexter sent his young son to live with Hannah. Alcott gave insight into the now teenage character by telling NME, “Harrison has had a really rough time for the past eight years. Like, it’s not been great. He learns that his dad is not dead and goes to find him.”
Others returning for the "Dexter" reboot include John Lithgow, who played The Trinity Killer, as well as original showrunner Clyde Phillips.
The original series ran for 8 seasons from 2006 to 2013. Fans expecting the reboot to be season 9 may be disappointed.
"We basically do get to start from scratch," Phillips previously told The Hollywood Reporter. "I mean, 10 years have passed—however many years have passed—by the time this will air, and the show will reflect that time passage in so far as the ending of the show. This will have no resemblance to how the original finale was and it's a great opportunity to write a second finale for a show."
"Dexter: New Blood" will consist of 10 episodes and premieres November 7 on Showtime.
