"Wendy is dealing with some ongoing health issues and is undergoing further evaluations," the statement read.
"She will not be able to complete her promotional activities next week, but can't wait to be back in her purple chair Monday, September 20th for the 13th season premiere."
In May of 2019, Williams took a brief hiatus from the show and revealed she had been living in a sober house. Upon her return, Williams told her audience that she was sharing her story because she's "a very open and truthful person."
Williams fought back tears while she spoke to her audience. She said she had struggled with cocaine in the past and was able to stop without seeking treatment.
According to People, she was dealing with Graves' disease.
In January, Williams opened up about her new documentary and revealed key aspects she wants viewers to take away from seeing the flicks.
In an interview with V103’s The Morning Culture with Big Tigger, Williams touched on the main takeaways from her upcoming documentary, "Wendy Williams: What A Mess!" and her upcoming biopic, "Wendy Williams: The Movie."
“For women, watch who you have in mind to procreate with and watch how… many babies you have. Children are expensive!… We want to mold them to be better than we are as adults,” she explained.
She went on to share that part of the struggle is maintaining a relationship with all of the people you share children with. “The more babies’ mothers or babies’ fathers you have, the more you have to spread your time because you have to make sure your relationship with that person is at least tolerable so that the children understand,” Williams said.
"Wendy Williams: The Movie" and "Wendy Williams: What A Mess!" premiered on Lifetime on January 30.
