Klay Thompson apparently doesn’t love coming to Boston. And he wants the world to know.

Can the Celtics pull off another improbable comeback?

During his post-game presser Monday, Thompson took a small swipe at our fair city. “I've never been so excited to go to Boston. I'll tell you that,” he said.

Let’s give credit where it’s due: that’s a pretty good line. But it does play into the annoying notion that Boston is a bad or unfriendly destination for NBA players.

The Warriors have seemingly tried to play up that storyline. After Celtics fans showered Draymond Green with expletives in Game 3, they were admonished by Thompson and Steve Kerr,

“We’ve played in front of rude people before. Dropping F-bombs with children in the crowd— real Classy. Good job, Boston,” Thompson said.

“Classy. Very classy,” added Kerr.

Last week, there were reports about Golden State staffers being heckled throughout Boston. One employee said they were flipped off 17 times.

The horror!

Getting back to basketball, it’s also quite scary that Thompson is heating up. He scored 21 points Monday and went 5-for-11 from three, including a crucial make in the fourth quarter.

He would probably enjoy shooting the Celtics out of the playoffs at TD Garden, and then boasting about it afterwards.

Yuck.
