The Greg Hill Show: Ty Law joins the show on another 'ty tuesday'
When Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers went down with what looks to be a “severe” Achilles injury on Monday Night Football against the Bills, speculation immediately started to run rampant about who would be the next signal caller that Joe Douglas, Woody Johnson, and co. would fly to New York to take over.
Joe Flacco? Drew Brees? TOM BRADY?! Anything to get this precious Jets team back to the promised land.
On this week’s edition of “Ty Tuesday” on WEEI’s The Greg Hill Show, former Patriots cornerback Ty Law poured some cold water on the idea that Brady come out of retirement to play for the Jets:
“Absolutely not,” the Hall of Famer told the show when asked if he think his former teammate would take the field for New York this season. “And I know Tom, he keeps himself in great shape. They’ve got something out there called the TB12 method. He is not coming back to play football and I don’t think that he’ll go to the Jets.”
Well, that (hopefully) answers that.
Law was in the house in Foxborough this weekend for the Patriots’ “Thank You, Tom” game where they not only honored the Greatest of All Time, but announced that he’ll be inducted into the team’s Hall of Fame this coming June.
“I thought it was awesome,” Law said of the festivities that went down in and around Gillette Stadium on Sunday. “All the guys showed up and we was happy to see Tom. And just to get to connect for some of the guys you haven’t seem for a long time… As soon as we get together again it’s like we never left the locker room. So that’s what was great about seeing all the guys. But to support Tom, the Greatest of All Time, you’ve got to show up if you can.”
