The Patriots are losing some depth in both their quarterback and wide receiver rooms.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Baltimore Ravens are signing QB/WR hybrid Malik Cunningham off of New England's practice squad. "Cunningham now will finish the season with Baltimore and go to the playoffs," Schefter wrote in a tweet.

An undrafted rookie out of Louisville, Cunningham had boomeranged on and off of the Patriots active roster and practice squad over the course of the 2023 season, and just last week was a part of their game-day roster. In each of New England's last two games, he failed to log a snap despite being active.

"I wanted to thank Mr. Kraft and Coach Belichick for giving me the opportunity to play with the Patriots," Cunningham said in a statement to ESPN. "I learned a lot from them. I want to be a coach one day, so I would take notes from coach Belichick because he’s one of the greatest of all time. I had great teammates in New England and built relationships that will last a lifetime. But I just feel like this is a good opportunity for me and I’m excited to be a Baltimore Raven."

The Patriots will take on the Chiefs this coming Sunday afternoon in Foxborough, while the Ravens are headed to Jacksonville for a Sunday Night Football matchup vs. the Jaguars.
