Thursday night in Foxborough was a momentous evening for a number of reasons.

After 586 days away, Patriots fans were welcomed back to watch their team play a game, albeit a preseason one, at Gillette Stadium. Plus Cam Newton finally played a game in front of his new fans, and received a loud cheer when he took the field. Plus Mac Jones made his professional debut, and he too received a rousing ovation.

Cam is appreciated for his energy, charisma, his effort and being the man who followed The GOAT. Mac seems to be the future, and potentially a promising one. After a season lost to COVID, and losing your franchise’s greatest player, there’s reason to be excited.

But back to the fans...how did it feel to be back after over a year and a half? Lest we forget the last time fans watched an actual game it was Tom Brady’s inglorious farewell, a Wild Card loss in Jan. 2020 to the Tennessee Titans on a gloomy winter’s eve. Now the sun is shining, the beverages were flowing, the grills were lit and the fans were positively giddy. Watch as Pats fans celebrate their return to The Razor, discuss what it was like being away and how great it is to be back home.
