Carnival Cruise Line Is Ready To Set Sail Again!

We know that Florida has just started Phase 1 of reopening, and as it did , Carnival Cruise Lines decided to break the news that they do plan to set sail soon.

According to CNBC , Carnival Cruise Line mentioned that 8 of their ships will start sailing again on August 1st, 2020. 3 out of Galveston, Texas, 3 out of Miami, and 2 of it's ships out of Port Canaveral, FL.

The company put out a statement , “We are committed to supporting all public health efforts to manage the Covid-19 situation...We are taking a measured approach, focusing our return to service on a select number of homeports where we have more significant operations that are easily accessible by car for the majority of our guests.”

 According to CNBC, The CDC is currently reviewing plans from cruise lines for how they will prevent, detect, contain and respond to Covid-19 on potential voyages.

Spokesperson, Scott Pauley, from the CDC also mentioned in the interview that , “At this point in time, we do not have enough information to say when it will be safe for cruise ships to resume sailing,” he wrote in an email. “CDC will continue to work with cruise lines to ensure all necessary public health procedures are in place when cruise lines do begin regular sailing.”
