It's wild to think that this Friday we will be in April. I'm sure you've felt it as well, but time has just seemed to move so weirdly these last two years. I am optimistic that this April will be a great month, however. We're basically fully into the warm weather season, the trees are blooming, and there's a lot to be excited about. Here are the five things I'm looking forward to the most in April:

5. MLB Opening Day

After some doubt of whether the professional baseball season would happen at all, the MLB season is set to begin on April 7th. I've loved baseball since I was a kid playing catch with my dad in the yard. While I'm not actively playing the game anymore, I love just as much to sit in the stands with a cold beer and a big ol' hotdog.

4. The final episodes of 'Ozark'

Netflix announced that the final episodes of their ridiculously entertaining show 'Ozark' will be released on April 29th. This has been one of my wife and I's favorite shows over the last 5 years. If you like a good crime-family drama, I'd absolutely recommend binging seasons 1-4 over the next few weeks so you can catch the finale at the end of the month.

3. Justin Bieber at the Amway Center

This show is going to be huge on April 11th. Justin Bieber has been patiently waiting to go out on the road for his Justice Tour, and it's finally happening. With hits like "Peaches" and "Ghost" over the last year, the Biebs is as big ever. Downtown Orlando will be crawling with Beliebers that night.

If you didn't know, I play guitar in a band called Low Standards. We are heavily influenced by pop-punk bands of the late 90s/early 2000s, so you can imagine how excited we are to play this tribute show on April 9th. The show is in Fargo, ND and sold out within 3 days of being announced. The emo era is being tightly embraced lately, and I can't wait to rock out playing some of my favorite songs of all time.

1. National Beer Day

I mean, name a better holiday. I'll wait. Ok, I'll give you Christmas but National Beer Day is an obvious number 2. It falls once again on April 7th this year, and I will absolutely be celebrating. Since we've lived in Orlando, I've fallen in love with a couple local breweries that I imagine I will be visiting on this special day. If you're looking for ideas, the Beach Hippie IPA at Persimmon Hollow Brewery by Lake Eola is amazing. Cheers!
