Marion Ross remains one of the all-time favorite television mothers.

And on Friday, the "Happy Days" star, 92, returned to her hometown of Albert Lea, Minnesota for yet another honor.

The city dedicated a statue of her portraying her signature role as the beloved "Mrs. C," aka Marion Cunningham, on the classic sitcom.

The likeness is located on the corner of Broadway and -- of course -- Marion Ross Street.

That's also the location of the Marion Ross Performing Arts Center, which was named for her in the early 1980's.

"This is another really not quite real moment in my life," said Ross during a Thursday press conference. "Albert Lea, Minnesota here at the lake? Oh, wow!"

The statue, created by sculptor Chad Fisher, also faces Fountain Lake Beach, where she was once a lifeguard.

Ross helped decide where the statue would be located, and expressed joy about how good the statue looks.

"It was very important to grow up here." Ross said. "You had the weather and these long cold winters. I slept in the basement by this long stove and everything I wanted was in the future."

Premiering in 1974, "Happy Days" was a throwback to the 1950s and ran for 11 seasons on ABC, before signing off in 1984.

Prior to settling in San Diego, Ross and her family eventually moved to Minneapolis, where she studied drama at the MacPhail Center for Music.

While in Albert Lea, Ross will take part in Saturday night's Third of July Parade as grand marshal.

The theme of the parade is "Happier Days Ahead."
