An impression of Robin Williams that was shared yesterday by actor and impressionist Jamie Costa has quickly gone viral for his spot-on portrayal of the beloved actor and comedian.

Jamie Costa shared the five-minute mini-movie, called "ROBIN Test Footage Scene," to his YouTube channel yesterday. It’s a simple scenario of Costa playing Robin Williams in a trailer during the filming of an episode of “Mork & Mindy” in 1982.

In it, Costa, as Williams, is prepping the next scene, going through the usual lightning quick manic switcheroos Williams became famous for. As co-star Pam Dawber, played by Sarah Murphree, enters the trailer, she tries to tell Williams something, and eventually has to yell at him to finally quiet his constant improvisation.

It’s then that she breaks the news to Williams that his friend John Belushi -- who he’d hung out with the night before -- was found dead.

Not just the incredible impersonation, but the level of emotion Costa imbued into this clip is pretty staggering. The emotional break -- from frazzled actor to heartbroken friend -- nearly encapsulates the ying/yang of Williams' career and personal life.

As People noted, fans not only adored the clip, they practically demanded someone do a Robin Williams biopic with Costa.

"BLOWN AWAY by #JamieCosta in this 'test' footage. WE NEED A BIOPIC STAT!" one fan gushed.

"Damnit, now I want a Robin Williams biopic!" another fan implored.

And still another praised it: "Absolutely blown away by this! To capture a person's true essence so beautifully in 5 minutes. AMAZING."

Details, like Williams calling his co-star “Dawbs” and even the correct kind of rainbow suspenders the character always wore, show a high level of respect for the beloved comedian.

And the amazing acting mixed with the subtle direction from Jake Lewis imply it might not just be internet fans who hope for a shot at a Robin Williams biopic.
