John Krasinski has certainly proven there’s life after “The Office.”

Fans of the iconic sitcom that ran on NBC from 2005 to 2013 got so close with the characters, it must have been difficult to see "Jim Halpert" in any other role.

Krasinski has since proven his mettle as a serious and busy actor/director/producer.
Last January, it was announced that Krasinski would join Steve Carell -- his boss Michael Scott on "The Office" -- in a new film.
As a guest on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" this week, Krasinski joked, "I should've started with, 'This is The Office reunion movie,'” well aware of the show’s huge cult following.
While that's not exactly the case, the family friendly film is actually called “IF," and will also star Ryan Reynolds and Louis Gossett Jr. Krasinski described it to Fallon as "a movie about imaginary friends." The story is an original idea of Krasinski’s and he’ll also write and executive produce the movie.
But fans will have to be patient. The release date has recently been moved again from November 17, 2023 to May 24, 2024.
Fallon brought up a recent internet debate going around that Krasinski's Jim Halpert was actually the bad guy on “The Office.” To which Krasinski again joked, "Well, they're onto me because I played it as a supervillain.”
While he hasn’t ventured into supervillain territory just yet in other endeavors, Krasinski made a big leap into the action genre with his run as Jack Ryan on the Amazon Prime series of the same name. He has also recently entered into the expansive Marvel Cinematic Universe.
He was seen in an unexpected cameo in last spring’s blockbuster, “Dr. Strange and the Multiverse of Madness,” playing Dr. Reed Richards, Mr. Fantastic of the Fantastic Four.

Now that Marvel announced a new slate of projects at Comic-Con in San Diego last weekend – including another go at a Fantastic Four movie – would Krasiniski continue his involvement?
"You're not allowed to say anything,” Fallon noted, “I'm not allowed to really ask you, but...do you think?"
Krasinski, echoing the notoriously zipped lips of Marvel’s production rules, simply stated, "They don't tell you anything."
Krasinski has become one of the few actors who have traversed both the Marvel and DC movie universes. He is one of the voices in the animated hit, “DC League of Super-Pets," out in theaters now.
