The drama continues for Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall.

If you’re a “Sex and the City” fan, your dreams of Carrie Bradshaw and Samantha Jones reuniting on screen are never going to happen.
During an interview with Variety, the “And Just Like That” star was asked if should would be okay with her former costar returning to the franchise.

“I don’t think I would, because I think there’s just too much public history of feelings on her part that she’s shared,” the 56-year-old said. “I haven’t participated in or read articles, although people are inclined to let me know.”
Cattrall, 65, has shared on mulitple occasions that she would never return to the franchise. In an interview with People, Cattrall stated that there was too much tension between her and her costars.
Samantha’s absence is explained in the premiere of the HBO Max revival, "And Just Like That" The episode illustrated how the beloved character moved to London for work because her “pride got damaged” after Carrie let her go as her publicist.
Although Cattrall’s character is physically absent throughout the series, her storyline is still present in the show as Carrie sends texts to Samantha.
"Samantha's not gone. Samantha's present, and I think was handled with such respect and elegance. She wasn't villainized," Parker added. "She was a human being who had feelings about a relationship, so I think we found a way to address it which was necessary and important for people that loved her."
The revival series shares the story of the show’s 3 main characters - Carrie, Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) - living in New York City while they manage their friendship and love life in their 50s.
In November, Parker said she was not just responsible for bringing her character back, but also of her fashionable possessions as well.
“I kept every single solitary thing,” Parker added.
From fur coats to tiny briefs to the coffee table in the living room, the actress kept every item “packed according to season and episode and scene” in her storage.
The furniture, which was part of Carrie’s bachelorette pad, has been used to recreate the apartment on the show’s set, though fans of the series and subsequent films know that Parker’s character was living elsewhere with her late husband, Mr. Big, when last we saw her.
“And Just Like That…” is currently streaming on HBO Max. The series has to be renewed for a second season.
