The website WalletHub just ranked all 50 states from the best place to raise a family in 2021 to the worst. Unfortunately, Florida didn't do so well in their rankings coming in at #36.
The rankings are based on 52 different factors, including things like the number of families with kids, parks and playgrounds, Covid rates, crime rates, driving safety, education, affordability, job opportunities and child care cost.
Based on all that, the 10 best states for raising a family are: Massachusetts . . . Minnesota . . . North Dakota . . . New York . . . Vermont . . . New Hampshire . . . New Jersey . . . Washington . . . Connecticut . . . and Utah.
The 10 worst are: New Mexico . . . Mississippi . . . West Virginia . . . Louisiana . . . Oklahoma . . . Arkansas . . . Alabama . . . South Carolina . . . Arizona . . . and Nevada.
