SIENNA SPIRO conquered America one city at a time last month, before wrapping her first headlining tour run. She’ll return to North America later in the year with Teddy Swims, but first the singer joined us at the Hard Rock Hotel in New York to talk about her rapid rise, raw realness, and the moment where she felt everything change.

“I think there's just, there's like honesty and grit British people have,” SIENNA shares, after host Mike Adam noted the wave of soulful UK Women that have found a home at the top of the music world. “Everyone's very raw, everyone's very blunt, everyone's a little bit miserable, so I think it just, I don't know, maybe people like it these days, it's kind of refreshing.”
With her career skyrocketing, SIENNA SPIRO has been at the center of a whirlwind, but sure to keep to the right people around her to protect her mental health. “I have amazing people around me to be honest, I'm extremely lucky in that way,” she says. “I have an incredible team and a lot of strong women around me that has probably been like the majority of why anything has happened, and I have my siblings, my friends, I'm very lucky about who I have around me.”
SPIRO has had plenty of game-changing moments along the way, but for her it’s singing alongside Sam Smith that she still can’t believe. “I got to sing with Sam Smith in New York in October. I mean I actually got to do it like a couple of weeks ago [too] but that was a moment that genuinely I'll never forget,” says SIENNA. “I was like sick with being grateful. Like I couldn't believe I did something like that. I mean I've been listening to Sam since I was 9 and singing their songs and I can't believe I got to sing with them and genuinely like I felt like my life changed at that moment.”
