There's many things that we can do to celebrate Independence Day. Cookouts, fireworks, picnics, beach outings, hot dog eating contests… It's all about friends family and OF COURSE celebrating our freedom! This year my family and I did some thing a little different than what we are used to. For the first time in three years, we went to the movies. What did we see? The movie that screams patriotism! Top Gun: Maverick. It was absolutely amazing! A lot of people say that it is better than the first. I would have to disagree. How can one compare a movie that paved the way for there to even be a sequel? Although it was great, there's something about the first that feeds the energy and offers complete nostalgia. Here is what I know: I'm thankful to live in a country with great opportunities. I am blessed to have freedoms, to go sit at the movies, eat popcorn and enjoy a movie that is based on the heroes that continue to protect our freedoms. The land of the free because they were BRAVE!! 'Merica!!
