David and Goliath meet Bella and the bear.
When most people think of guard dogs, they usually see larger breeds handling the protection duties. However, after seeing video of a tiny Yorkshire terrier taking on a bear, some may want to rethink their choice of protector.
Video of the yorkie, named Bella, recently went viral as the pup went “berserk” in the backyard scaring the wild bear up a tree.
As seen in the now viral clip, the small dog is let outside where it quickly sprints towards the bear while barking.
Frightened, the bear quickly scurries away and up a tree in the backyard.
“Our Yorkie, Bella, was let out for the first time of the day and went berserk. I quickly discovered that she had chased a young bear up a tree. Off-camera, I was calling and trying to coax her away from the situation. She eventually came my way a bit, and the bear took the opportunity to flee," the dog’s owner told Viral Hog.

According to People, both animals were able to leave the situation unharmed.
Many online were stunned by the bear’s reaction to the tiny dog. Despite its size, clearly this dog means business.
