Speaking with CBS News’ Anthony Mason, Eilish reflected on her massive commercial success and says although she always doubts her abilities, she has been getting back into the groove of “making music” again.
For Billie, making new music and having it land with so many fans “never is comfortable,” she explains. “You never get used to it. It happens and you’re like, ‘What the hell?! I’m never gonna create again’.” However, she says she and her brother FINNEAS have in fact been laying down new tracks, and she had the receipts to prove it.
During the interview, Billie took the camera crew into her dressing room revealing her and her brothers’ mobile recording setup that they take with them around the globe. “This goes everywhere, and the piano too,” she said before playing a couple of short clips of two new tracks the duo have been working on.
“It’s just so much fun,” she says of the ability to record on the fly. “And it’s just like not even serious. We’ve just been making music, and also crocheting a lot.” Eilish will wrap the North American leg of her Hit Me Hard and Soft Tour on December 17 at L.A.'s Kia Forum.
Billie Eilish has received multiple nominations, including Song, Album, and Record of the Year for the upcoming 67th Annual GRAMMY Awards, an accomplishment she calls “the craziest thing in the world.” Billie adds, “I’m blown away and excited and honored and humbled all at the same time.” Don't miss all the action happening on February 2, 2025 -- live on CBS and Paramount+.
