At home chefs have been making fried water using a chemical compound called calcium alginate, which creates a gelatin like capsule for the water to be fried in, and sharing the results online. Many of these videos have gone viral, creating a very dangerous trend.

While many would assume frying water cold only make it taste better, according to many why have attempted it, the taste may be the worst part. Still, people are finding ways to give this dish a try, despite the multiple warnings not to.
Maybe one day they will perfect it, and soon we will only be consuming water when fried.
