After 13 weeks of competition, the Queen of Hearts, who was unmasked as Jewel, was crowned the winner of Season 6. She outlasted fellow finale competitor, the Bull, who was unveiled as Todrick Hall.

The “You Were Meant For Me” singer gave fans and the judging panel a run for their money as she dressed as a heart gemstone for performances each week, leading to several incorrect guesses of her identity throughout the season. Some of those guesses included Britney Spears, Faith Hill, Carrie Underwood, Fergie, Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Kacey Musgraves, Jennifer Lawrence, Kristin Chenoweth, Kelly Clarkson, Sia, Christina Aguilera and more.

“This show for me, the big appeal was doing songs that I really admire,” Jewel told Audacy’s Christine & Salt. ”I just picked songs that I loved in every genre, because I love every genre and that was so fun for me! I arranged those songs and really worked on them. I had so much fun doing it.”

Jewel went on to explain the competition gave her the opportunity to focus on the emotion of performances more than technicality, allowing her form a deeper connection with the audience.

"I just care about the emotionality and telling the story and not showing off my range,” she shared. “I don’t think people remember how well you sing, they remember how you make them feel, so that’s what I tried to focus on.”

Clearly the strategy worked for the 47-year-old who beat out 15 other masked acts vying for the prestigious, golden ear trophy. Other competition on season 6 included Todrick Hall (Bull), David Foster with Katharine McPhee (Banana Split), Faith Evans (Skunk), Willie Robertson (Mallard) and Bobby Berk (Caterpillar) joined Natasha Bedingfield (Pepper), John Lydon/Johnny Rotten (Jester), “Mama June” with “Honey Boo Boo” (Beach Ball), Rob Schneider (Hamster), Ruth Pointer (Cupcake), Larry the Cable Guy (Baby), Tyga (Dalmatian), Toni Braxton (Pufferfish), Vivica A. Fox (Mother Nature) and Dwight Howard (Octopus).

25 years after the release of her debut album, Pieces of You, Jewel is still bringing us new music with plans for a fresh album of original music coming soon in addition to a tour this summer. Additionally, you can relive her amazing performances on the The Masked Singer with her appropriately named, Queen of Hearts album.
