The mother-of-one and her husband Chandler Powell took their daughter to release a group of rehabilitated sea turtles. They were joined by Bindi’s brother, Robert Irwin, and her mother, Terri, for her 57th birthday.

Irwin, 22, posted snaps of the celebratory day while her mother held a sea turtle in one picture. In another photo, Bindi, Robert, Chandler, and Terri all looked down at the animals. The last snap was a sweet one as the turtles were released into the wild.

Bindi and her daughter posed for a picture together while they were seen on a dock in front of a boat called “Croc One.” The new mother then shared a photo of Grace Warrior asleep in her arms as she posted next to Powell and Terri.

“Celebrating my beautiful mama’s birthday by releasing five sea turtles back to the wild, after they were in care at our Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital,” Bindi explained in the caption.

She added, “This day will live in my heart forever, with the most amazing Mama turned Bunny (our term for grandmother). I love you beyond description, Mum. ❤️.”

Powell also shared a birthday tribute post for his mother-in-law.

“Happy birthday to Terri, my mum-in-law and Grace’s Bunny!” he wrote. “You inspire us every day with your strength and unwavering kindness.”

The new dad added, “We all love you and can’t wait to celebrate you!”

The birthday tribute comes after Bindi recently announced that she would be stepping away from her animal duties to focus on her new baby girl.
