Haddish was one of the hosts to ring the annual festivities on the Discovery channel. Yet, it wasn't her literal deep dive into the ocean and swimming with the sharks that had her shook— it was the knowledge she acquired about a shark's sex life. Yup, you read that right.
The GRAMMY-winning actress spoke with TMZ about her dive, explaining that she and the team were doing ultrasounds on the sharks to find out how many pups they were carrying. Eagerly, she revealed that female sharks have two uteruses and male sharks have two claspers, which is the equivalent to a human penis.
Was she scared swimming with sharks? No. "I grew up in South Central Los Angeles. It's more likely of me getting attacked by one of these regular people out here in these streets than [a shark]," she explained. "You gotta have the same tactics as street survival for ocean survival."
Haddish, who rarely strays from sexual innuendo or commentary, surprisingly admitted that the way sharks mate was "a little outta control" for her. It was in that moment when she truly felt that "God must be a man." The actress also felt "traumatized," mainly because it felt too familiar to a previous personal experience. “After watching it, I was like, ‘Ah! I been there – I know what that’s like.'”
