The Democratic Representative dropped a remix to Fergie's 2006 smash hit, "Fergalicious" on the House floor and fans are in tears. The "F to the E to the R to the C," better known as the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, is "one of the most important agencies to fight climate change" and if you ask Casten, he'd tell you that the "fercalicious definition is to make our planet cooler."

He also rapped, "Having a well air-conditioned home when it’s ‘hot, hot,’ that’s FERC-alicious, getting your electricity from the lowest cost reliable source — FERC-alicious — an electric transmission system that keeps everything from electric vehicles to steel mills running with zero-carbon electricity, FERC-alicious." The newly minted "remix" also has official cover art with Fergie holding the FERC's shield in the palm of her hands.

The performance was Casten's introduction to the bill— The Right to Timely Rehearings at FERC Act. The bill would "ensure that everyone has access to fair and timely hearings at the commission." Earlier this month, Casten also remixed Megan Thee Stallion's "Hot Girl Summer" to introduce #HotFERCSummer.

Now, what is a #HotFERCSummer? Glad you asked. Casten explained, "#HotFERCSummer is a celebration of our nation’s regulatory body that has helped us achieve our clean energy goals so far, and one that we need to make sure that [President Joe Biden] nominates a new commissioner so it can stay at its full strength."
