James Scudder, a 35-year-from from the United Kingdom, shared with Fox News that he was motivated to fix up his family’s red Super Sport XL after police pulled him over. Officials confirm he “should not” drive it down streets.
Shortly after the COVID-19 pandemic began, the traffic stop inspired him to start the opportunity.
“This inspired me to make it road legal so that I could drive it,” Scudder said.
When Scudder, a father of five, was in lockdown, he purchased several ride-on cars for his children. He explained how it was a great purchase because his children enjoyed using them. In a video he posted to his official YouTube page, the car has indicators, hazard lights, and a horn to observe local road vehicle requirements.
While Scudder unveiled his “road legal” upgrade on his channel, he has received more than 32,700 views.
“With regards to cost, honestly I am not too sure as I never kept a running total, as I would need to explain the costs to my wife, who wouldn’t be too happy,” Scudder said.
When asked about what his family and friends think of his mini cars, Scudder said: “They love them, they all think I’m a bit crazy and weird for doing it.”
