Show of hands... Who's got a kitchen drawer with a bunch of colorful trackballs sliding around and unusable wall chargers crammed in the back? Oh, hello former BlackBerry users... Welcome.
We're truly sorry to hear about the news that the long-standing mobile tech company will officially be shutting down support starting today for its devices operating on BlackBerry 7.1 OS and earlier, BlackBerry 10 software, and BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.1. So, we decided to take a look back at the year the company launched by remembering the soundtrack that was playing on store radios when you lined up for your very own.

Brandy - Have You Ever?
Brandy Norwood topped the charts in January of 1999 with her Diane Warren-penned, David Foster-produced hit single "Have You Ever?," the third single from her second studio album, Never Say Never released in October of 1998. The music video was nominated for an MTV VMA for Best R&B Video but lost to Lauryn Hill's "Doo Wop (That Thing)."

Eagle-Eye Cherry - Save Tonight
Swedish singer Eagle-Eye Cherry, brother of "Buffalo Stance" singer Neneh Cherry, found massive commercial success with his 1997 single "Save Tonight," which was still topping the charts two years later.

Britney Spears - ...Baby One More Time
Oh, Baby Baby! 1999 was the year Britney Spears landed on the scene with her hit "...Baby One More Time," and her debut album of the same name, becoming Brit Brits first worldwide hit, and topping the charts in at least 22 countries.

Goo Goo Dolls - Iris
Always a classic. Goo Goo Dolls' emotional ballad "Iris" was swirling around the ether in 1999 at the same time their more upbeat single "Slide," from the band's 1998 release Dizzy Up the Girl was also on the charts. That's a whole lotta Goo.

Sarah McLachlan - Angel
Oh boy, this one's a doozy. You know the song so well you're able to name that tune in one note when the ASPCA commercial comes on. Unfortunately for Canadian songstress Sarah McLachlan, this beautiful ballad has forever been linked with sad puppy faces and changing the television channel with great speed.

JAY-Z - Can I Get A...
JAY-Z's 1998 single featuring Ja Rule and Amil was released on Def Jam's Rush Hour Soundtrack to promote the Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan film Rush Hour, and also appeared on HOV's third album, Vol. 2... Hard Knock Life, as the first single.

Shania Twain - From This Moment On
Written by Shania Twain and released as the fourth single from her third studio album, Come On Over, this Country-Pop classic has become a staple in Shania's live shows and achieved serious commercial success, topping the charts in multiple countries.

Lauryn Hill - Doo-Wop (That Thing)
Lauryn Hill’s "Doo Wop (That Thing)" is the former Fugees members’ very first solo single from her debut album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. Written and produced by Hill herself, the track became the first single written, produced and recorded by a female artist since Debbie Gibson's 1988 single "Foolish Beat" to reach number one in the U.S.

Well... it's been real, BlackBerry. You were there for us when we needed a keyboard we could feel, but it is finally time to say farewell. Swwwwwwipe...
