For people that are afraid of heights, walking across a bridge that is 300 feet in the air is a definite no-go.

Regardless of how safe the bridge is, or the materials it is made from, most would rather find another route to get to the other side.

Now, it will be even harder to convince those people to experience dangerous heights after photos of a man clinging to life after a glass bridge shattered under him went viral.

Glass bridges have become a very popular tourist attraction in China in recent years, as they allow people to experience mountainous areas from a completely different perspective.

However, during a recent trip to the Piyan Mountain in Longjing city, a man had to be rescued after large force winds caused the glass bottom to shatter.

Photos of the man clinging to life went viral after being shared on China’s microblogging social media platform, Weibo.

According to The Guardian, the man was rescued more than half an hour later.

"There were no casualties. After being kept in the hospital for observation, the trapped person was in stable emotional and physical condition and has been discharged from the hospital," officials told CNN.

Though he was unharmed, the man likely won’t be using glass bridges any time soon.
