After he previously hinted at something new potentially on the horizon with his 2007 “Give It To Me” partners Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake, Timbaland has officially announced new music is coming, revealing a September 1 release date in a social post stacked with images of the three from their original hook up through today.

Timbaland has been working on JT’s sixth studio album, telling Variety “Everything sounds great," with the new album. "Now it’s really on [JT] how he plans to wrap it up and how and when he envisions it to come out. With an artist of his caliber, everything has to be aligned, but it’s done and it’s coming,” he added.

This good news from Timbaland comes just after the loss of rapper Magoo, famously known as half of the Hip-Hop duo Timbaland and Magoo, who passed away earlier this month at the age of 50.
