·The Stanley Cup Final is tied at two games apiece after the Vegas Golden Knights fell to the Carolina Hurricanes 5-3 Tuesday night at T-Mobile Arena.

·Vegas got goals from Mark Stone, William Karlsson and Brett Howden, while Carter Hart made 23 saves.


·The Golden Knights were outshot 14-6 in the third period, and Carolina took advantage when Jordan Staal scored the go-ahead goal at 6:32 while stretched out on his stomach.

·Staal has scored in all four games of the Final, becoming the first player in 44 years to do that.

·The series has been unpredictable from the start. A two-goal lead has disappeared in all four games, and the 33 combined goals are tied for the third-highest total through four games of a Stanley Cup Final.

·Brandon Bussi started in goal for Carolina in place of Frederik Andersen and made 18 saves.
