·Thousands of Marvel fans packed Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday, with some reportedly camping out for more than 30 hours to get into the presentation.
·Marvel rewarded them with several major movie announcements and a surprise appearance from Ryan Reynolds.
·Ryan Gosling is officially joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Ghost Rider. The standalone movie is scheduled for release in 2028.
·Marvel also announced Black Panther 3, which will arrive in theaters on December 15, 2028.
·David Jonsson will play the grown-up son of T’Challa and become the new Black Panther. Ryan Coogler will return to direct, with Letitia Wright and Winston Duke also returning.
·Ryan Reynolds crashed the Avengers: Doomsday portion of the panel while disguised as a fan in a gray Deadpool costume.
·After revealing himself, Reynolds joked with the cast and asked whether there was still room for Deadpool in the movie.
·Robert Downey Jr. then joined the Avengers: Doomsday cast onstage. Every fan inside Hall H received a Doctor Doom mask and cloak, and thousands of people put them on together after Downey gave the cue.
·Chris Evans, Pedro Pascal, Paul Rudd, Anthony Mackie, Simu Liu, James Marsden, David Harbour, Letitia Wright, Lewis Pullman and Kelsey Grammer were among the cast members who appeared.
·Hayley Atwell also confirmed she will return as Peggy Carter.
·Fans were shown new Avengers: Doomsday footage featuring more of Doctor Doom’s backstory.
·Doom comes from the Fantastic Four’s universe, has lost everyone he loves and believes the heroes are living stolen lives.
·Avengers: Doomsday arrives in theaters December 18.
