Weezy got busy at this year's ESPY Awards, live from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Wednesday night, July 12, setting things off with a show-opening performance of his hit "A Milli" peppered with sports references and rhymes.

Epic sports fan Lil Wayne was on hand to open up the 31st annual ceremony of the ESPY Awards this week with a special sports-themed performance of his 2009 GRAMMY-winning Tha Carter III single "A Milli," replacing some of the original lyrics with tributes to athletes Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs, LSU Tigers' Angel Reese, Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin, "Coach Prime" Deion Sanders, and plenty more.

Winners this year include the Kansas City Chiefs as Best Team; A'ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces as Best WNBA Player; Jamal Murray of the Denver Nuggets as Best Comeback Athlete; Claressa Shields as Best Boxer; Angel Reese of LSU Tigers Women's Basketball as Best Breakthrough Athlete; LeBron James surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar‘s NBA career-scoring record for Best Record-Breaking Performance, and more.
