If there were ever to be a “Bridesmaids” sequel, it would be more beautiful than Cinderella, it would smell like pine needles, and it would have a face like sunshine – but first we’d need to get the original cast on board.

Luckily for fans of the 2011 comedy, one of the stars is open to the idea. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Maya Rudolph shared that she would be “down” to be in a sequel, joking that “it would be called ‘Old Ladies’ or something.”

The “Saturday Night Live” alum also said that her favorite scene to film was the bridal shower scene because of the furry co-stars.

“Having puppies for a week that are not yours is really fun. I remember that just being sort of a place of goofiness,” shared Rudolph about the iconic bridal shower scene where every guest was gifted an adorable golden retriever puppy.

People reports that director Paul Feig has also spoken about the sequel, warning that it might not live up to people’s expectations.

“It’s really up to Kristen, but also, sequels are dangerous. People always say they want a sequel to ‘Bridesmaids’ but the whole reason that movie worked was [because Kristen Wiig’s character] is a mess and she learned how to repair her life,” he said in 2017. “You can’t do a sequel and she’s a mess and has to repair her life again.”

Wiig and writing partner Annie Mumolo, who co-wrote “Bridesmaids,” most recently teamed up for the joyfully silly movie “Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar,” which tells the story of two middle-aged Midwestern best friends who end up on the adventure of a lifetime while on vacation.

The pair are also slated to write a live-action musical comedy that recounts the story of Cinderella from the perspective of the princess’ evil stepsisters.
