Olivia Rodrigo is officially in her OR 2 Era. For the first time since dropping her debut album SOUR two years ago, Liv is back with the promise of new music, sharing that her brand new single, “Vampire,” will be out June 30.

To announce the forthcoming track, Olivia took to social media, sharing the single’s black, white and hint of purple artwork, which she captioned, “my new song vampire is out june 30th! you can presave now. so excited for this ahhhhh!!!!!!! 🖤🩸💜🫀❤️”
According to a press release, “‘Vampire’ is the sound of an artist firmly in control, imbued with a sense of maturity and a bold confidence." Written with her trusted SOUR collaborator Dan Nigro, “with ‘Vampire,’ she is poised to begin an exciting new chapter.”
Rodrigo had previously teased the arrival of new music, with a countdown on her site, and stories of her and Nigro in the studio. Rodrigo also sent a note to fans via her newsletter on May 21, the official two-year anniversary of her debut album. The note read, “I’m taking today to reflect on all the amazing things that have happened since SOUR and looking fORward 2 all the things to come.” (Yes, the “OR 2,” intentionally capitalized and bolded obviously being shorthand for her second album).
Then, a week later Olivia posted a mirror selfie, that eagle-eyed fans noticed had a calendar in the background with June 30 marked with a heart.
Well now it’s officially official. “Vampire” is headed our way and just like OR we are “so excited for this ahhhhh!!!!!!!”
