In celebration of Pride Month, Ellis joined Audacy's Let's Go There w/Shira & Ryan to talk about leadership and the evolution of GLAAD.
“I think the topics and issues that have been pressing our community have evolved," Ellis said.
“When I started, it was really about getting the message out around marriage equality and how we were going to get awareness about that and education to make it understandable to everyone so we could move that through," Ellis added.
"Today, what we’re looking it is really around the trans community, people of color within our community, the non-binary community within our community, and really raising their voices, elevating their profiles, and educating Americans about who they are.”
