ICYMI, Travis Barker decided it didn’t make sense not to live for fun and went ALL OUT on a Mother’s Day floral arrangement for the love of his life, Kourtney Kardashian.
Smash Mouth, those shiny glittering gold rockers, now have some thoughts about the Barker/Kardashian relationship and the attention it receives.
“Not used to Travis Barker having a full time publcist (Kardashians) trying to keep him in the 24 hour news cycle. Glad you got Kourtney a 'lavish gift' for mothers day. lol.”
Shots fired.
We’re not exactly sure what prompted this tweet (perhaps Smash Mouth wanted to use a little fuel themselves), but it may stem from comments Barker made in Summer 2020 about bands playing shows in the thick of the COVID-19 pandemic.
If you recall, Smash Mouth was one of the group’s that played the Sturgis Buffalo Chip motorcycle rally in South Dakota. The event drew immense backlash as Barker told TooFab "I just think it's a little disrespectful to go out and be playing shows or have groups of people and have everyone sick you know?"
"I think it's a time to just make great music and lock in and you know, twelve months from now go crazy."
While Smash Mouth’s tweet may have raged against the constant coverage Barker and Kardashian received, their message may just quell the attention surrounding them for a bit. After all, only shooting stars break the mold.
