I had never heard of 'Prison Chips' until a couple of days ago. I did a bit of looking, and noticed there were YouTube videos 10 plus years old talking about 'Prison Chips'. They aren't new to snacking depending on where you are doing it. If you've been in prison you might have eaten 'Prison Chips'. If not, then learning about them through word of mouth / social media / internet seem to be the popular way right now. They started under private label Moon Lodge w/ the parent company Keefe Group. Moon Lodge disappeared, but the company is standing strong as a leader in supplying food and personal care products, electronics, clothing , technoloy and more to the correctional market. For many years you could only get The Whole Shabang Potato Chips in Prison ... enjoyed by many serving, working and visiting in prisons. 'Prison Chips' eventually busted out into the Gen-P and have been fueling the Snack Time Obsession ever since....

1.) In 2016, The Whole Shabang Potato Chips expanded outside prison walls into the Gen-P via online orders. The word got out that 'Prison Chips' could be purchased and eaten by anyone, anywhere ...
