The Austin Humane Society, who take care of many furbabies in need, are in need of help from the community while dealing w/ COVID-19. Things change constantly, but the one thing that is a constant at this time are the furbabies waiting for their furever homes and the supplies that are needed to care for them. Donations are greatly appreciated and needed! If you would like to adopt a furbaby, appointments only are being taken. A change that happened today, due to the growing concerns of the spread of the coronavirus in the community. My Rudy Roo and I would love it if you would please Spread the Word! Spread the Love for the furbabies in the ATX area who are in great need too.
Austin Humane Society March 18th, 2020 – UPDATE
The Austin Humane Society remains open to the public for adoptions, however, we are updating our adoption procedures in order to limit traffic and continue to focus on the safety of our staff and community. Starting today, Wednesday, March 18th, all adoptions will be by appointment ONLY. This means you MUST call AHS at (512) 685-0115 or email our team at adoption@austinhumanesociety.org. The adoption team will walk you through the process for the animal you are interested in adding to your family.
At this time, AHS has suspended volunteer activities in order to keep our staff and volunteers safe. There is no timeline on when regular volunteering will resume.

Make sure you and your family are as prepared as possible.
