Got a Vintage / Old Globe hanging around. Rather than tossing it. Upcycle it, and have it light things up, of course in LED fashion. On Trend: Globe Pendant Lights. They are popping up all over the internet / social media. I have never wanted a Globe so bad, as I want one after seeing these. Here's how you can create one of your own. Very cool 1Thing too! Mama Earth approves!

How To Make A Globe Pendant Lamp

  1. Remove the globe from the metal stand.
  2. Place the globe in a bowl to keep it from rolling around as you work.
  3. Cut an opening in the top of the globe (Pro tip: Use the Arctic Circle as a general guide).
  4. Flip it over and repeat the same step for the bottom of the globe, but this hole should be the size of your pendant light.
  5. Use sandpaper to scrape away any rough edges around the openings.
  6. Drill holes into the globe on your favorite cities, so the light shines through your favorite places.
  7. Feed the pendant light through the holes.
  8. Add an LED bulb (these don't get as hot when left on).
  9. Hang it!
