Before you say' 'NO, I would not drink beer made from recycled shower water!" Epic Cleantec, a San Francisco company, is doing it. They seem to think once the thought of dirty shower water is taken away, the rest is pure beer bliss for you and Mama Earth!

Epic Cleantec works with real estate developers and property owners to help lower utility costs and improve their sustainability. The water comes from a luxury residential building that was the first approved onsite greywater operation in San Fran history. It can recycle 7,500 gallons of wastewater from showers, sinks, washing machines for use in flushing toilets and other accepted ways.

Epic Cleantec teamed up with Devil's Canyon Brewing Co. in 2022 and started production with 2,000 gallons of recycled water. The batch created 7,000 cans for education purposes. It's a light beer with German origins called Epic OneWater Brew. It's not currently on sale because of regulatory issues with recycled water use. Steps are taken to purify waste water making it suitable for non-drinking purpose with municipal systems putting in two extra steps to get rid of the chemical contaminants to make it safe for drinking. The company says it's cleaner than the federal standard for water.

So would you drink it? Wait until you see this
