Scenic Texas advocacy efforts made it posssible for Texas to officially have a State Scenic Byway Program with 30 potential scenic highways. The program helps preserve landscapes and nature, while supporting local communities and business.
Besides the beauty of wildflowers, trees also play an important role for Scenic Texas higher standards for a better living environment. 1 Million Trees Across Texas ... Planting mini-forests along roadways and highways making the drive cleaner with more beauty to behold. It started in San Marcos in December of 2020, and the planting continues with the goal of spreading the love of 1 Million trees all over Texas.
