Hugh Jackman recently opened up to his fans about a skin biopsy after doctors noticed something "irregular” on his face.

The “X-Men” star, 52, took the opportunity to remind his fans about the importance of wearing sunscreen daily in a new video posted to Instagram on Monday, GMA reports.

"I just want to let you know, I just went to see ... my amazing dermatologists and doctors, and they saw something that was a little irregular," the Australian star explained while lowering his mask to reveal his bandaged nose. "So they took a biopsy, and they’re getting it checked."

Jackman remained hopeful stating that the situation is “probably fine” and thanked his fans for their support. He also urged them to not “freak out” if they see a shot of him with the bandage on.

He hoped that the moment would serve as a reminder to take care of your skin, noting: "But remember: Go and get a check and wear sunscreen. Don't be like me as a kid, just wear sunscreen."

Jackman made a similar plea on Twitter.

"Please get skin checks often, please don’t think it can’t happen to you and, above all, please wear sunscreen," he added.

In 2013, the actor was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma, a form of skin cancer. During a 2015 interview with ABC News, Jackman revealed that he spent most of his childhood playing in the sun.

Jackman is set to star on Broadway later this year in a production of "The Music Man." Previews will begin in December, before having its official opening night on Thursday, February 10, 2022.
